In 1705, a permit transferred the family from the church of Elspeet to Ermelo, probably because they were poor and the church took responsibility for them. Cornelis was an innkeeper in 1711 and a landlord in 1714.

At some point Ariaantje was married to Johannes Solingen (van Salingen?).
